Burning Man 2013

At the Burning Man festival, I leave the fancy photographs to the professionals, the camera men and women who stake out sunsets and bleary sunrises for that perfect shot of the hula-hooping tuba player riding a unicycle… on fire. Instead at Burning Man I compartmentalize my desert photography into one-hour sessions of riding and shooting and hopefully remembering. The pictures are not necessarily purty, but the photos do help me later recall the art, lodging, and adventures of quite a wonderful week. This year, six of us in a pod of light engineers helped build a giant sheep of an art car.
