Day 331– March 4, 2015
I am not bored, but I am in limbo, waiting to take a job, close out a wandering year, and commence the next chapter of concerted work. Yesterday, after a merry afternoon at the zoo with Alex and son, followed by a beer at the surf coffee shop across the street from the sea lions, I took the subway home to sleep at seven o’clock. I slept with the light on, waking periodically to check the time of 7:30, 8, 8:30, and 10pm.
I sleep so much because I don’t wish to start anything new and big. So I savor emptiness. I do need the extra sleep to prepare for two Sacramento nights of Ruben benders.
Nonetheless, I am done. I’ve learned what I will learn from unfettered travel, big projects, and idle time. Job, please come, for I’m ready to receive you.
