Before I resume work in April, 2015, I wanted one last getaway. Greg and I flew to southeast Asia for a 16-day tour of Vietnam and Cambodia. As the Vietnam coastline is so long, on this trip we tackled just the south and center, landing in Ho Chi Minh City, traveling north into the coffee highlands of Dalat, veering to the coast at Hue and Hoi Ann, before boarding a plane to Siem Reap. Greg has been before to Vietnam, but has yet to see the grand dame of ruins at Angkhor Wat. In spite of the 95F heat, we biked and tuk-tuked from temple to temple, even one morning at sunrise. I’ll remember most the incredible eats – plentiful, inexpensive, and so tasty.
