I moved into San Francisco proper in March
2008. Although I once lived somewhat nearby in the suburbs for six
years, I never got to know this ethereal city well. San Francisco, John
calls Rivendell, the land of the elves. With its hills, forests,
and odd characters, I agree. Who knows how long I stay in San Francisco
until a breeze pushes me onward, but I snap shots of the neighborhoods
