   Choose Yer Own Adventure

Bernal HeightsSan Francisco
I moved to San Francisco proper in March 2008. Although I once lived in the suburbs for six years, I never got to know this ethereal city well. San Francisco, John calls  Rivendell, the land of the elves. With its hills, forests, and odd characters, I agree. Who knows how long I stay in San Francisco until a breeze pushes me onward, but I snap shots of the neighborhoods while I'm still rooted here.

Red Lounge Studios
Red Lounge Studios
Studio 54 may be dead, but the Red Lounge is rocking. Located in nouveau Cambridge, Etats-Unis, the Red Lounge synergizes casual, club culture with all that is red. What follows inside is a delicate and decadent selection of party scenes at the Red Lounge. Space is limited at the limited red lounge so book the VIP table in advance.

Europe
Europe
Bored with the US? Try polyglot Europe. The masses there speak many more funny languages and have this odd currency involving too many coins. I had the xenobic pleasure of residing on the Continent 2003-4. Air fares were cheap and distances short, making running amok all the easier. Rome, anyone, for the weekend?

DutchylandDutchyland
It's a mythical land of windmills, tulips, clogs, canals, and coffee shops. It's a place where cheese is still made in large rounds and then transported by burly men on skates up to the canals to wee cities of brick streets and narrow houses. In the Netherlands, everyone is tall, blond, and a friendly English speaker.

Wow, Mom and Dad and all the rest. Heck, you can see where I came from and figure out if I look like any of 'em. If you don't like looking at all these folks, I still do. It is small-town, New England chemists acting all casual, in the way that New England chemists act.

MeMe
Holly tells me that the personal internet site is the ultimate in narcissism. To prove this point, I had to have a section all about me. As I grow older, I grow more willing to laugh at myself and more willing to look at myself. You too should be fascinated with me. Here are some - but certainly not all - of the stupid things I have done since my return to Boston. I do accept fan mail.

US TravelUS Travel
Sure the people are big here, and we can't figure out whether Canada is above or below us, but there is lots to see in the United States. After returning from The Netherlands, I realized that I know little about my own country. While I'm in Boston, I want to mosey some from sea to shining sea.
